Kordon Pond AmQuel Plus removes chlorine, chloramines, ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites from pond water safely, easily, and in a single step. This special enhanced formula is often used to detoxify tap water or to clear fish waste and toxic pheromones that can build up in crowded ponds.
AmQuel Plus is the latest development in state-of-the-art water conditioning technology and is the next step beyond the original AmQuel product. It provides even greater protection to pond fish and invertebrates by converting ammonia into a non-toxic compound that beneficial bacteria will quickly consume.
AmQuel will not interfere with biological filtration or nitrifying bacteria and functions equally well in fresh water or saltwater. Usage will not affect pH levels and is compatible with all water conditioners, all Kordon medications, and other medications on which it has been tested.
